What does it mean?

Tonight was my first night joining the Theology group at Vintage. It was a special night. The big topic was metaphors for todays culture about Jesus' death and ressurection. What does it mean to today's culture?

Well to me personally it means I don't have to be afraid of my mistakes and my flaws. If someone 2,000 years ago loved me enough to suffer and die for me, then why do I beat myself up. Why, when he died for someone he didn't know, should I spend so much time afraid of myself. Through Christ I am forgiven for those mistakes.

Thank you Lord Jesus for your sacrifice on my behalf. Thank you for your love and your faithfulness to me. Thank you for showing me that mistakes are a part of the journey and that with you leading me I can be one with God despite my flaws.
